Cam Ward Files Robust Campaign Finance Disclosure for Senate 14 Race

Cam Ward Files Robust Campaign Finance Disclosure for Senate 14 Race

(ALABASTER, ALABAMA)—State Representative Cam Ward (R-Alabaster), candidate for the District 14 State Senate in the June 2010 Republican Primary, filed his campaign disclosure form with the Alabama Secretary of State Thursday. Mr. Ward reported raising $138,780 from 354 individual contributions, with 112 of those being from on-line donations (a record for an Alabama legislative campaign).  With in-kind donations of $15,124, he reports over $150,000 in total contributions for this cycle.

“I am so grateful for the broad range of support we’ve received in the Senate campaign from individuals and pro-business groups who want to see the engines of prosperity revved up in Alabama through economic development and job creation,” Rep. Ward said upon filing his report. “The fact that over 350 contributors believed in the message of our campaign is very heartening,” Rep. Ward added.

Rep. Ward was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2002 to represent District 49, which includes parts of Bibb and Shelby Counties. He is running for the Senate to represent District 14, which includes parts of Bibb and Shelby Counties and all of Chilton County. Mr. Ward, his wife Julie and daughter Riley live in Alabaster.
