Cam Ward Receives Endorsement of Calera Mayor Jon Graham
(CALERA, ALABAMA)—State Representative Cam Ward (R-Alabaster), candidate for the Alabama Senate in 2010, received an endorsement for his Senate campaign today from Calera Mayor Jon Graham.
“I’ve worked with Cam Ward over the years in his capacity as a legislator from Shelby County. He’s been a tireless advocate for economic development for our area, and has displayed an enthusiasm for public service which our community truly appreciates,” Mayor Jon Graham said. “I’m supporting Cam for the Senate because he’ll take that drive and experience to Montgomery as our next Senator, and I urge the citizens of Calera to support him as well,” the Mayor added.
Cam Ward thanked Mayor Graham for his endorsement. “Having the support of Mayor Jon Graham is an honor, and I am most grateful. He is truly an ambassador for the City of Calera and all of Shelby County,” Representative Ward said. “I look forward to representing Mayor Graham and the citizens of Calera in the Alabama Senate,” Rep. Ward went on to say.
Cam Ward was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2002, District 49, which includes parts of Bibb and Shelby Counties. He is running for the Senate to represent District 14, which includes parts of Bibb and Shelby Counties and all of Chilton County. Mr. Ward, his wife Julie and daughter Riley live in Alabaster.
