Chilton Commissioners Mims, Caton Endorse Cam Ward for Senate

(CLANTON, ALABAMA)—Two Chilton County Commissioners today pledged their public support of Cam Ward for the Alabama Senate in the June 2010 Republican Primary. Commission Chair Tim Mims and Vice Chair Allen Caton said they believe Cam Ward is the best person to represent Senate District 14, which includes all of Chilton and parts of Shelby, Bibb and Jefferson Counties.

“I have gotten to know Cam Ward and find him to be a man of honor, integrity and results for his House district. I will be supporting his candidacy for the Alabama Senate and urge my constituents to do likewise,” Chairman Tim Mims said. Commissioner Allen Caton also had praise for Rep. Ward in his endorsement. “Cam Ward exemplifies what public service should be about. He works tirelessly for the citizens of his House District, and I can think of no one better suited to serve in the Alabama Senate,” Commissioner Caton stated.

Cam Ward thanked Commissioners Mims and Caton for pledging their support. “I am grateful to Chairman Mims and Commissioner Caton for their endorsement of my campaign for the Senate. I look forward to representing them and all of Chilton County if elected to the Alabama Senate,” Rep. Ward said.

Cam Ward represents House District 49 in the Alabama House of Representatives. He is seeking the Republican nomination for the District 14 seat in the Alabama Senate. Rep. Ward and his wife Julie have a daughter, Riley, and the family resides in Alabaster.
