Hoover Mayor Tony Petelos Endorses Cam Ward for State Senate

Hoover Mayor Tony Petelos Endorses Cam Ward for State Senate

(HOOVER, ALABAMA)—Hoover Mayor Tony Petelos today endorsed Cam Ward for the Alabama Senate in District 14 in the June 2010 Republican Primary. Mr. Ward is currently serving in the Alabama House of Representatives for Shelby and Bibb Counties and is seeking the Senate seat held by Hank Erwin who is running for Lieutenant Governor. Senate District 14 encompasses all of Chilton County and parts of Shelby, Bibb and Jefferson Counties.

“I have known Cam Ward for many years. Cam is an honest, hard-working, and capable state representative who will take that experience to work for us in the state senate. I am supporting Cam and encourage all who live in District 14 to do likewise,” Mayor Petelos said. “He will be a tireless advocate for economic growth, better educational opportunity and ethics reform,” the Mayor went on to say.

Upon receiving Mayor Petelos’ endorsement, Representative Ward said, “Mayor Petelos is a true public servant and a long-time personal friend. To say I am honored by his support in my campaign for the Senate is a real understatement,” Rep. Ward said.

Cam Ward has been a member of the Alabama House of Representatives since his election in 2002. He and his wife Julie and daughter Riley live in Alabaster.
